Noisy Friarbird

We were very happy to have a visit this morning from this Noisy Friarbird. That’s apart from the visit from CCN’s sister and brother-in-law, who are visiting us from Bundaberg at the moment. We’ve had a great three days with them and I’m sure their visit will do my wonderful friend the world of good.

Hand on heart I can tell you that we have had very rare visits from the Friarbird and the last time they were here in great numbers was 2014 when the Waratahs were blooming in their hundreds. They are one of the largest of the Honeyeater species and as you will see from the extra photo they use their beaks to great effect.
