Shedding it All

Out to see Aunt Sheila - she’s clearing her house and severely downsizing, and like my mum, sentimentality goes out the window. There may be some (mildly) interesting artefacts coming up at Thomson Roddick shortly.
My sentimentality is of another order altogether. The little shed in the corner of her garden used to be in our garden in the late 50s and early 60s, where it was a backdrop for so many family photos. When we moved, Dad dismantled it and re-erected it round at Sheila’s new place in Currie. And when Sheila and her family moved again, up to Balerno, the shed moved again. It’ll not survive this move however. I’ve got to say, it’s not done badly.
Later, a movie - Widows - I disliked the trailer but was won over by a string of good reviews. Steve McQueen, innit. Aye, whatever, it’s a pretty straightforward heist thing, complete with secret codes to safes and other improbable nonsense. It's OK entertainment, if that’s what yer after, he said in a superior way. Wouldn’t hold a candle to The Shed (2019), the upcoming feature directed by MrP.
