The Viking Town

Work took me north to Kirkwall in Orkney today. I hadn't been since 1999 and, though a delayed flight up there severely constrained the visit, its magic was present again.

We were treated to the rare pleasure of climbing the tower of St Magnus Cathedral, and this is is the view from there towards the harbour.
