Good cop? Bad cop?

Danny Butterman: So what made you want to become a policeman?
Nicholas Angel: Officer.

The air sourced heat pump plumber visits first thing. It look like we might actually get the heating installed with full RHI, and minimal ripping the house apart. So far, quite optimistic.

Then into Edinburgh for a Cucumber day. We have a room off St Andrews Square left over from an unused booking last meetup. Matt comes over from the west. Tracey and Jo are more local. It’s a useful day that includes a Show & Tell as well as a company retro.

We go to Tiles - which was a mistake. The beer that they serve as Deuchars is definitely not - more like 80’ - but we drink it anyway. Claire arrives when only Jo and I are left and fits in a couple of drinks before we head off to meet the offspring.

Meg and Angus get to Element barely late at all. I give Angus a police cap that I found outside the Chinese embassy in London - and then immediately worry that someone might get the wrong end of the stick when he goes off for an Edinburgh drinking party after the meal.

Megan comes home with us. We’re all knackered, so just lighting the fire and making the bed is plenty challenging enough. I wonder how Angus is getting on - his plan was to go back to Glasgow for a drum and bass gig at 11.
