A time for everything

Tangeman University Center 2

This is the same building I blipped last Thursday (Feb 5th), but from a different angle, showing how the new building sort of wraps around the old. It was another beautiful sunny day, and relatively mild. This morning was my British Contemporary authors class which is held at Joseph Beth Booksellers in Rookwood Commons. Instead of being in one of our usual places within the store, they put us in the adjoining cafe this morning, which was far from satisfactory - there was noise from the kitchen, and piped music (which they did eventally turn down a bit) and people eating at other tables. We were discussing Ian McEwan's Amsterdam - which was a really good read - fairly short, but he puts so much into it - and its really well written. Then since it was such a nice day I went down to U.C to take some picture for my photography class. This evening we were out at Music Hall to see the Cincinnati Symphony perform Mendelssohn Midsummer Nights Dream and Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique - with Rafael Fruebeck de Burgos conducting - an excellent concert.
