Friday 13 February 2009: birdwatchers

at the wetlands boardwalk, late afternoon
The Great Blue Herons are nesting, and quite a crowd had developed, watching the male bring twigs and branches for the female to place in the nest.
my shots of the birds weren't that good, will try in better light, soon
Also, the anhingas that I blipped here when nesting, now have 3 good sized babies in the nest. Mom and I watched a parent feed them, but couldn't get a good shot.
(the lenses in this shot are small compared to some that are seen here)
