Greater Spotted Woodpecker (Dendrocopos major)

The local Ecology Centre has put up some new bird-feeders not too far from the bird hide.

Moorhens were feeding on the dropped crumbs and a greater spotted woodpecker was fending off all the tits on the peanuts.

I'll have to go back again soon as in the past there was little to be seen from the bird hide and today I saw (apart from those mentioned above) blackbird, dunnock, robin, bluetit, coaltit and great tit. Hopefully, some less common birds will be attracted.
