Wednesday 11 April 2007: Monobrow
According to Wikipedia, the monobrow 'conventionally has negative associations in western culture'.
Well, western culture can go hang. I like my monobrow. It is distinctive, serious, occasionally intimidating (the only intimidating feature I have). It reflects my Celtic peasant roots. It is part of my family history- my Dad has one, as my Grandfather did.
Many friends have made fun of it. Girlfriends tried to persuade me to go 'Bi'. I even had a crisis of confidence during my teens (one of many) and plucked it myself.
But it has survived so far, and it is staying.
I am not a metrosexual. I have a monobrow and I'm proud.
