Prickly!

The clouds briefly parted today to let some weak sunshine through and so Salem and I went to the park. It was very windy and the lake was covered in white caps. There was one kite-wind surfer out there - definitely a hardy soul. You can get an idea of the wind by looking at Salem's face (extra). I enjoyed it a lot. 

My neighbors left to go to Hawaii yesterday and I've been with them in spirit, dreaming about sunshine and tropical breezes... sitting on the beach with sand between my toes. We will be going to the desert later in January but I'll keep daydreaming in the meantime.
