Strange goings on

A very calm day without a breath of wind.The water was so still , only the slightest ripple broke the surface. We thought we would get. Take away soup from The White Cottage but it was closed for refurbishment and not open again until Feb.So a quick look for the otters or dolphins , lots of others looking too so we wondered if something else had been sighted.Plenty of birds around and a seal tackling an eel.
We drove down the Firth road , more people with binoculars looking across the fields.
Going by a ploughed field there was a group of people walking each with carrier bags, we wondered what they were collecting.
We went to Beauly to get some soup in the end. While waiting for Mike two fire engines with their lights flashing and then two police cars went down the road opposite me so not sure what that was all about.
Back to Redcastle to drink our soup, lovely views across the Firth, saw a couple of dolphins near the bridge and then home.
