Cross and Star at Epiphany

This is the star of the nativity against the under-lit front of the altar.  It's in a church that we sometimes go to for Mass on a Sunday, a Mass at 1700 rather than morning – I know, such laziness!  I've made this an abstract but the whole scene of the Nativity is in the extra photo, up still for today as it's Epiphany.

One of our grandsons asked about the star when visiting for Christmas a few days ago; this was on our nativity scene at home, but it gave me the opportunity to tell him about the birth of Christ, something that is omitted from the National Curriculum, it seems.
