Queenstown + Lake Alta

We drove over to Queenstown this morning and then up the Remarkables ski field road. From there we walked to Lake Alta, a small, but lovely glacial lake with crystal clear water. Around the lake are beautiful mountain flowers and mosses.

The main photo is a panorama taken half way up the road. On the left is Queenstown, then Shotover River flowing into the Kawarau River, and Lake Hayes.
