Colmworth Parish church

After checking out of the hotel, we went to the village that my Grandmother and Aunty used to live in. We thought my mum had told us that there were plaques in the churchyard commemorating several members of the family (they were cremated in Bedford and other places). We hunted around the churchyard and the church but didn't find anything relating to our relatives. We did, unexpectedly, find the grave of an old family friend.

We went to several family weddings in this church as kids. The churchyard was alive with little birds and spring flowers.

We talked to a lady of about our age who was visiting her sister's grave. Having had a lovely weekend with my sister, I can't imagine the loss that she must have experienced.

Went the farm shop that we used to visit (and occasionally pick potatoes and peas for) when we lived in Bedford. There were long stalks of brussel sprouts for sale - a Bedfordshire delicacy.
