Café Les Philosophes

J and I went for a walk this morning through the Marais and had lunch at this café. We'd been before with friends and it brought back nice memories to go back. We walked through a "gilets jaune" demonstration on our way there, by the hôtel de ville. There was a huge police presence, but the demonstration appeared peaceful. We also stopped at the Canadian bookstore Abbey Books (21, rue de la Parcheminerie) in the 5th. Owner Brian was very welcoming and gave us a lovely tote bag to give to our older daughter T, who had volunteered there in 2012. Other than that: laundry & finished writing a department review.
