Louise
Singing in the morning, and then a multi-purpose trip.
Set out for Alnwick mid-afternoon, to take our lovely two-tier cat basket, sadly no longer needed, to its new owner. Then to the DIY store for a few more matchpots - still haven't found the colour for the living room walls. After a meal at Carlo's, MrM drove us down to Newcastle where we ventured in to the centre for some essential shopping.
Finally, on to Byker, to a gig - the real reason for the outing. A first, as neither of us had been to a punk rock gig before! Louise Distras, whom MrM taught many years ago when she was but a lass, had invited us to see her play. And we really enjoyed it - she has a great stage presence, a good voice, and has written some brilliant songs. (Didn't manage to take any decent photos - the lighting at the venue left a little to be desired...)
Looked across from the top of the car park in central Newcastle, and thought of Shaamie! (Extra)
