River of Flowers

Busselton, Western Australia

Last day at Margaret River, drove up to Busselton having been told about the amazing jetty and underwater observatory. Paid 30 Aus$ each to walk the 1.8 km jetty and for a tour of the underwater observatory. The water is 8m deep at the end of the jetty. It was a long hot walk to end of the jetty, temperature around the 30 mark and no clouds to be seen ...

The Underwater Observatory was amazing, with so many different sorts of fish, sponges and coral growing on the piles supporting the jetty! If you're ever in the area, strongly recommend a visit.

It was very busy in the town because the Iron Man triathlon was taking place. I felt really sorry for all the athletes, we were hot just walking around.

Lunch was fish & chips and on the return journey we stopped at Miller's Ice Cream farm, all the flavours on offer looked totally scrummy, we were spoilt for choice.

Packing tonight for an early start to catch the bus back to Perth.

Goodnight all, zzzz.... Xx
