It was beautiful early today

Getting up with strong sunshine, blue sky and a big frost is always a delight.

I quickly ventured out, but even as I wandered around the back garden I could senses the icyness melting. I found this funny little off-cut of wood many months ago and it ended up on the patio table where it has stayed, taking on many forms and colours in the varied conditions. I love these tiny crystals. I always regret not playing around with light in these conditions as we don't get them often enough.
