Rochester Castle

Have been on the road since Thursday visiting our sons in Manchester and Rochester. Both have recently moved with their work, one from Bicester and the other Edinburgh. Visiting them before Christmas gives me and Mrs B the excuse to explore other parts of the country.

We helped celebrate #1 son's birthday on Friday in Manchester and also managed to do some Christmas shopping and take in the German Christmas Market, which was excellent and even helped put an old Scrooge in the festive mood!

On Saturday we drove down to Rochester where #2 son and his girlfriend have a lovely flat looking out over the Medway. Rochester is a wonderful town with a great historical area, much of it linked to Charles Dickens. Very impressed with the place and even more impressed when we were taken out for our dinner!
