Mono Monday . . . TENSION

I was pulling weeds this morning and noticed the wasps floating in the ceramic bowl which I keep filled with water for any thirsty insects.  There is tension between me and the wasps because they predate Monarchs but I acknowledge their place in the ecosystem.  They appear to float on the surface of the water and drink and then can lift off again and not drown.  They make this chubby shadow on the bottom of the bowl.  I have no idea if their floating has anything to with water surface tension.
