The bud and the tiny insect

Another weather related abnormality, in one day at least half if not more of the magnolia buds have split open showing the pink petals inside. As today's optional theme for Abstract Thursday is 'painterly' I've added a colourful paint strokes texture (by FrenchKissTextures, named Spring Impasto) and fiddled with it in PS Elements.
