Saturday 21 February 2009: E.L.A.E.M.
I started a new weight-loss programme on Tuesday. (I'd have told you then, but I wanted to get through the first few days without faltering first.)
Ideally, I need to get myself to around 180 pounds and stay there. That's 34 pounds (or 17 bags of white sugar or 68 packets of butter) less than I weigh now. The target is 2 pounds a week, which means these scales should be breathing a sigh of relief around the middle of June.
I'm using the same revolutionary ELAEM diet as last time (Eat Less And Exercise More). Saturdays are days off, allowing me to maintain some sanity by drowning myself in beer and saturated-fatty snacks once a week.
Right. I'm off to cut my toenails, which should give me a few ounces head start on next week.
Wish me luck!
