Primary Engineer

I gave out the prizes this evening at the first Primary Engineer Competition held in Scotland.

The inspiring forces were the redoubtable Peter Hughes of Scottish Engineering and Sir Jim MacDonald the Principal of Strathclyde University.

The stars were the young participants ( all 1500 of them) and the 10 eventual winners.

This picture shows great work from both categories . On the left is a winning scheme to clean air in cities . On the right ten year old Lennon MacInnes from Sgoil an Iochdar on the Island of South Uist plans a bridge to Skye .
