St Pierre's Cathedral Geneva at night, light snow

St Pierre was built in the 12th Century.

It became the home church of John Calvin leader of the Protestant Reformation in Geneva.

It subsequently acquired a neo-classical West End which was added to its medieval structure.

The area beneath the Cathedral has been excavated and extensive Roman remains can be visited.

On this December evening there had been a light snow-fall.
