Shimla

We've had a lovely half day walk around Shimla visiting the regional museum, Christ Church seen in main blip, and a walk along the Mall which sensibly has no traffic and is a no smoking area.

It is such a busy town with many tourists coming to see where the British Army were based at first and which became the summer capital of India during British rule.

But the main impression is that Shimla is a prosperous town with high employment. It is also a young town. All around us we saw young people either in smart school uniforms or fashionable clothes. The teenage boys have amazing hairstyles.

The food in this hotel is very good so off now to have our dinner.
