Ice cool

The Christmas decor at G Live in Guildford has departed from the customary red and concentrates on cool colours.

We were there for The Glory of Christmas concert, a visit organised by my local WI. The London Concert Orchestra, the Guildford Choral Society and the Surrey Youth Choir gave us a beautiful varied programme of choral music, orchestral pieces and, of course, carols. We all enjoyed singing our hearts out to our favourite carols, culminating in an energetic rendering of The Twelve Days of Christmas where different sections of the auditorium were allocated a number, and they had to stand when it was their turn. The carol was taken at great speed and we were leaping up and down - not always at the right time!
