Þingvellir

We have not had much snow in Reykjavik this winter, so today we drove to Þingvellir, which is about 50 km out of town, in search of snow. And snow we found, plenty of it, and ice too.

Whenever I go to Þingvellir, I always take a picture of these picturesque houses. Last year we had pictures taken in all four seasons, and it was amazing how different they were, from the starkness of winter to the greenness of summer and then the beautiful autumn colours. Spring was just a little bit paler than summer, not a lot different.
