Marjorie's ramblings

You’ve arrived

“You’ve arrived” says the arrow. Julie and I took the train from Newcastle to Kings Cross this morning.

We sat opposite a lovely woman from the ultra orthodox Jewish community in Gateshead. She has six children. Today she was on her way to a wedding in London then back home this evening. I think she was sad when she heard that neither of us has children.

We walked to our hotel in Russell Square. Julie went off to meet a friend and I went to sleep!

Later we walked to Granary Square beyond Kings Cross and enjoyed a drink while we watched people go by. People of all races, shapes and sizes with a huge diversity of fashion styles.

On our way to pick up a taxi back, we saw this group who were exercising.

In my extras you can see a woman walking into the sun in Russell Square Park and the fountains in Granary Square.

We have enjoyed a good first day of our short holiday.
