A Suffolk Eye

Item, two hearts

a little bashed about, but still in good working order.

We've worn these rings for quite a while now, but not for half as long as we hope to wear them.

Blipfoto won't reproduce chinese characters but

Inside my ring it says:
Sheng tóng yi gè qin

In his, it says
Si tóng yi gè guo

Which are the last two lines of a chinese love poem by a 13th century poetess called Guan Dao Sheng. Together they read: In life one quilt, in death one coffin.

We got married in Woodbridge, but we had to wait till we were next in Beijing to get the engraving done. I wanted the coffin line on my ring but it turned out that- even in Beijing - they were only able to engrave that character on a bigger ring
