Misty start

to our early walk but it didn’t put these early (7.45 am) golfers off!
Despite the mist some people spotted Little Owl. https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2565466659976380466
Enjoyed being out with the Ladies this morning. We went on to Coppice Pond and my neighbour was telling me that one of the swans, a male we think from the brood two years ago has been moved and another of last year’s has managed to fly it self over to Yeadon Tarn! We were pretty sure they were being managed which is good but when we got to the feeding station there were only 3 of the original 8 from last years brood to be seen. Dad came over to keep them in their place and we believe the Pen is nesting on the island so hopefully another successful brood to come.
Not many ducks, more geese than usual as the swan normally chases them off and there were more Tufted ducks than we’ve seen before with at least 9 males counted.
It took a while to brighten up today but really warm when it did. Just had a cuppa sitting in the garden.
Out tonight to see a friend in ‘Muddy Cows’ at Bingley Little Theatre. Hope I can keep awake with all this unfamiliar exercise. I was in bed at 9.00 last night. Maybe it was the gin and tonics at the pub!

( Eda’s having a great time at Achnahaird beach!)
