College of Education - University of Canterbury

I live close by the College of Education, and in the 1970's the Teachers College was moved from the centre of the city out to this site in Ilam. In recent years it has become a part of the University of Canterbury.
We have seen many changes over the years and we looked out on to lovely green playing fields. Well now they are filled with temporary buildings, no green playing field anymore. These temporary building were to house the people that were in the building that were damaged by the earthquake of February 2011.
This is one of the buildings which has now been stripped out, and is being demolished.
