They've been around for a while now but not in the abundance that I'm used to. Usually the cover vast areas, a forest bed can be totally white. This year only their green leaves remain, the flowers are not so many. They appear in little "islands" or cushions in all the green but they seem bigger than normal. Some say it's because last years drought might have affected them, or maybe it's something else. It's a sensitive balance out there.

No rain yet but it looks like next week could bring some. Let's hope for that.
