Queen’s Scout Parade

We had a fabulous day in Windsor.
The Queen’s Scouts practiced in Victoria Barracks in the morning then we had a quick lunch before the Scouts assembled at the Mews and the guests went into the Quadrangle.
Once in the Quad I met up with other parents from our district and the Scouts Scotland Commissioner, Sharkey.
The bands were wonderful, the Scouts all looked great and everyone was so friendly and chatty, it really was a special atmosphere.
Bear Grylls came round sections chatting to all the parents as did the Commissioners from England, Wales & Ireland.
The Scouts then paraded into the Quad, were inspected by the President of the Scouts the Duke of Kent, the UK Scout Chief Commissioner Tim Kidd and Chief Scout Bear Grylls before heading into St George’s Chapel for the service.
A very proud day for all the parents, leaders and of course the Queen’s Scouts themselves.
