Joan Baez in Northampton

We heard Joan Baez tonight on her "Farewell Tour," opening solo and then with three  accompanists, who rotated. It was quite wonderful, even from near the top of the balcony (our birding binoculars were helpful). The only other time I heard her in person was in a living room at a  debutante party in the Boston area in 1958 (I grew up there); she would have been 17. (I'm not certain of the name of this accompanist, so I won't post it.) The last concert we heard was Bob Dylan in 2010--his song "It's a Hard Rain" was sung by both of them.
