Smile for the camera!

A planned visit over to  Ripley castle today as there was a salvage and antique fair in the fields next to it.  Felt ripped off unfortunately at the entrance fee of £7.50 each, just to view what they very expensively had on display.  Won't be going to that again!  
Meanwhile on to Ripley Castle istelf, £5 entrance but 2 for 1 with the Gardeners World magazine ticket I have for the year....that's better :)
And then thrown in for free - there was a carriage driving event going on in the grounds.  Oh those horses were beautiful trotting around.  As this carriage passed me the ladies shouted to their horse 'smile for the camera'...and it nicely obliged bless it, good horsey.
Extra is a team of 4, apparently a team like this isn't often seen and the front horses are very lightly manoeuvred by reins.  Fascinating to watch.
Sad it's the last episode of The Durrells this evening....Sunday evenings in spring won't ever be the same :/
