Wednesday 25 February 2009: "hunting wabbits"

this little bunny has been seen hopping around, the last couple days. This morning before work, noticed it in our front yard, and first thought was to get a photo for blip! (of course) There was no problem getting close, as you can see. But reaching out to grab it made it hop aside a little. After a couple more tries, did catch it, and it was obvious that it had been a pet. We had the neighbor who keeps rabbits come over, and although it wasn't one of his, he took it to care for it for now. But as I was backing out of the driveway to go to work, I saw it bounding across our front yard again! Guess bunny didn't want to be caught yet. I found out later that it had gotten away from him and then they couldn't find it. We'll be keeping an eye out for him/her, but it looks like bunny won the first round :-)
for some reason, thinking about this at work later, I remembered those old Emer Fudd and Bugs Bunny cartoons :-) hopefully, we'll get another chance to grab him/her.
