Bombs Away

This Oriole was feasting on some delicious blossoms when it launched itself off a branch and started to fly directly toward me.  Not my best photo of the day but certainly the one that made me smile the most  : )

The most incredible sight was not one, but ten hummingbirds flitting around one tree. Sadly, with the approaching storm, the light was low and I mostly managed to get silhouettes.  Still a great sight and I must go back on a sunny day to see if I can see them again. Shortly after, the big drops started to fall and the thunder began to rumble.  The drive home  was adventurous with the heavy rain, high winds, lightning and thunder. Luckily, no hail.
