Drawing out ?

As in the nights are fair drawing out (as opposed to drawing in ) ? 

Anyhow was round at a P's tonight for supper in Morningside and had a lovely evening chatting about this, that and the other including next stages in live (have decided that even though I am not seeking full-time work and may draw my pension early I'm *not* retiring - can we have a new term please? ).

It is now just after 10 and I'm not long in - loved walking home in the light, more than makes up for long dark evenings in winter.
