~Transports Of Delight~

More time wasted in the pursuit of a sunset image. That's what I was thinking when I was out in the late afternoon, my head filled with dreams that were larger than reality. Nothing except a dark cloud line above and behind Wild Burro Peak and a sky devoid of interest! Then, as so often happens, the scarlet and vermilion hues started to show themselves to who ever was looking. It was so wonderful watching these shapes and colors evolve. Then just as suddenly as they appeared, they were gone, leaving just a darkening sky, a black band of clouds and a lonely mountain peak.

One never knows what will transpire in the Sonoran Desert skies. Starting from a humble beginning to transform into a gem, into something to be loved. Even just for a short while it is well worth the time spent waiting and hoping. An object that is born from lack luster beginnings might just grow and mature into an object of extreme beauty. Enjoy it while you can.
