Saturday 14 April 2007: Ballycassidy
Once again Ballycassidy ran a good race. Last year he led most of the way, then fell a few fences from the end. This year, he was 2nd most of the way, then fell back a little before tripping over a faller in front of him. Unlucky.
My grandfather lived at Ballycassidy and was a great fan of racing (well, a great fan of betting), so the annual bet on Ballycassidy (who is always an outsider) is kind of in his honour.
