What the ..?

A cracking morning so I nipped up to the allotment for a bit of sunny gardening. Strimming, weeding, hoeing, then I came across this - unripe strawberries nipped from the plants, laid out in little groups and left to rot. No beak marks, no teeth marks, so what destructive beast would do this? After careful thought I’m guessing on an unsupervised kid!
