Saratoga Springs ....

... day 1.

We had a fantastic day and the only way to show ya'll what we did was with a collage!

We really didn't have any set agenda other than getting to R's sister's place around lunch time .... so we didn't leave the house until 8:40 a.m. This got us to J's house about 12:20 p.m. where we had a wonderful visit with her.  We hadn't seen J for quite some time but we couldn't remember exactly.  The visit was way too short but we needed to make our way to Saratoga Springs in order to check in to our Bed & Breakfast on time.  We are staying at the lovely Springwater Bed & Breakfast .... which is different from the last time we were here in 2010.

After checking in and unpacking our things we went out to find some supper.  The BBQ place that we remembered from our last time to Saratoga Springs was closed for the day for a family memorial service so we had to find some place else.  And even though there are a ton of restaurants the task wasn't easy to find a place we both agreed on.  We settled on a burger joint ... the food was okay except I didn't like the French fries all that much.

We wanted to check out Saratoga Lake so after supper we drove to Waterfront Park to have a look.  The dog in my collage was having a blast retrieving the stick his owner repeatedly threw in for him. Sorry but I have forgotten the dogs name!*

One of our favorite places in Saratoga Springs is Congress Park .... located right downtown.  This is where we went to next!  There were cute little ducklings all over the place!!!  Expect to see more of them over the next couple of days!

By this time it was getting late and R has to be up early to attend his work function that has brought us to Saratoga Springs, New York! So I'm calling it a day!

* R has just reminded me that the dogs name was Buck!
