Singapore

After an 8 hour overnight flight we arrived in Singapore at 8 this morning. We withdrew some Singapore Dollars from a cash machine then got ourselves a couple of tickets on a shuttle bus to the Park Hotel which is near Clarke Quay.

After checking in we wandered across the road into an old shopping mall and got ourselves a couple of latte. We then discovered that our hotel runs a shuttle bus into town so we got a lift into town and had a light lunch and a strawberry milkshake made with fresh fruit.

By now we had run out of energy so returned to our room for a refreshing afternoon nap.

Had dinner in the hotel then walked around the local area, returning along the river walk where this blip was taken.

Thank you to all visitors who offered some suggestions of places to visit, we're having an early night and have a few ideas of places to visit tomorrow .....

The Singapore Dollar is worth about 50 pence.
