Great Spotted Woodpecker

A male, you can tell from his red splodge on his head
the female doesn't have one and the juvenile has the
red splodge on the top of it's head, they can curl there
tongue into there head, and they have very strong beaks
when attacking food with tough shells they will wedge it
in a crevice of a tree trunk and open it with that powerful
beak.
This was taken from inside because as soon I go out whoosh
and it's away.
Lovely day up here sunny but nippy.
Hope your all having a smashing day.
