Another birthday

A long lie then a walk. Up to Mortonhall to buy a card. It is a very pleasant walk. Taken me 6 years to do it!

As the weather got better L and I set off for S's 70th birthday. She does not look it. A pelican, there were lots of photos of nurses in the old starched white uniform, complete with cap. Maybe prettier but not as practical as today's scrubs.

We sat in the garden and it was lovely. I continue V that when I came home about 7. Cut the grass and then moved to the front to catch the last rays with my book. Finally a programme about the first man on the moon.
