Party time

Forty nine years ago we started our WI (Women's Institute). I was there at the first meeting. This evening we had a birthday party in a member's garden. We each had to bring a chair, a glass and a plate of finger food and we settled ourselves on Jenny's lawn. As every year, there was a magnificent spread, (see extra), and we had a happy chatty evening. There was a garden quiz, and plant anagrams hanging from the fruit trees to get us out of our chairs. There was a short sprinkling of rain near the start, but it didn't last. A good birthday celebration.
