Elk

About two dozen cow elk have been camped out by the river for several weeks now. The hay meadows provide good fodder; there is excellent cover in the willows by the river which is a good source of water (extra). There are about five calves with them. Road side snapping again. The other half of the herd were the other side of SR260 on the ex-golf course where I snapped these three.

       Up before dawn to watch stage 16, Nîmes to Nîmes, of Le Tour de France again . . . I'm not sleeping so well.
