Château de Termes

On a rather hot morning, we visited the Château de Termes.
This is a ruined castle near the village of Termes in the Aude deparment of France. In the 17th Century it was partially demolished to stop it being used by local vagabonds as a base from which to plunder and pillage the surrounding villages. More recently steps have been taken to preserve the site.
