Extreme colour coordination

I have been known at work and at home to push the art of fine dressing to the extreme.
Each item of clothing is carefully purchased, cared for, lovingly ironed, washed separately (whites, dark colours, light colours, pastels, pure wool, lambs wool, alpaca, merino wool, cashmere), each item is then carefully chosen in the morning and matched to the rest of the outfit.

As I was going for a walk on the pier at lunchtime, I thought that my pier-coloured sneakers would be a no-brainer.
If only all decisions in life were that easy...
