Celiosa texture

These celiosa cristata (cockscomb) flower heads are intriguing , their structure looks like coral reefs or brains, but up close you can see their texture is really different too. They're not as soft as they look ! For today's Abstract Thursday challenge with its optional theme of texture, a natural macro abstract.
