nightfall over Yarrows

It was a good place to linger
Being inland was different
But the peat was the lure
It was a gift the gods had sent
To keep them here providing shelter
Material to build their homes
And burning for warmth and hot fodder

Never leaving still they remain
In two long horned chambered cairns
The northern with an eastern chamber
Where horns are defined semi-circular
Higher up a hill the southern cairn
With boxed inner eastern chamber
Remains covered by a capstone
